What people are saying about Hana Market Real feedback from customers who have visited us.
One of my favorite spots for authentic Japanese groceries and unique imported foods. They always carry a great selection of hard-to-find Japanese snacks, ingredients, and drinks that you normally can’t find in regular supermarkets. The staff are friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even better. I visit this store often and always enjoy discovering something new. Highly recommended if you love Japanese food or want to try something different!
I absolutely love Hana Market. I wandered in for the first time on a friend’s recommendation, and now it’s one of my favorite stores in the city. It’s a great one stop shop for so many Japanese products. They also have fresh onigiri that takes me back to Japan every time. The staff is super friendly and always helpful with finding what I’m looking for. Highly recommend checking them out.
I was craving onigiri since I got back from Japan and found this cute little market that makes fresh onigiri in the morning. The owner of the store was extremely hospitable and friendly welcoming us into the store. Two salmon onigiris for $7.00, can’t beat that. Contains a lot of the snacks and candies you can find in Japan and it is cheaper here than places like H-Mart. I went right when it opened and there is a limited amount of onigiri so would recommend going early in case they run out. Def will be back for the onigiri!
Hana Market is one of the best neighborhood gems in DC. The customer service is always amazing; the staff are friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Their prices are very reasonable, and the selection of Japanese groceries, snacks, and prepared foods is excellent. It honestly feels like they add new items every time I visit, which makes each trip fun. I’ve also noticed some recent improvements around the store that make the space look even better. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in DC!
I absolutely love visiting Hana Market — it’s such a delightful little corner of Japan right here in DC! 🥢🇯🇵 Whether I’m doing regular grocery shopping or just browsing for something fun and unique, this place always delivers. The shelves are packed with authentic Japanese snacks, sweets, drinks, and pantry staples you might not find anywhere else, and every visit feels like a small adventure. I especially enjoy stumbling on unexpected treasures like adorable little accessories, scarves, and cute gift items alongside delicious groceries — it’s the perfect mix of everyday essentials and charming discoveries. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and it’s definitely one of my favorite spots to explore, grab a snack, or pick up a special ingredient for a meal. Highly recommend to anyone who loves Japanese food, snacks, or just wants to find something fun and different. Five stars all the way!
